SurgeOn and Cook Biotech to Provide Collaborative Workshop at ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting

BALTIMORE, MD – SurgeOn, in partnership with Cook Biotech, is pleased to announce an informative symposium for continuing medical education and industry innovation at the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) Annual Scientific Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland. The workshop, titled “Latest Advances in Rectal Prolapse Management,” will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET at the Baltimore Convention Center, Room 323.

This collaborative effort brings together healthcare professionals to discuss cutting-edge insights and engage in interactive sessions focused on the latest advances in rectal prolapse management. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field, participate in Q&A sessions, and join a roundtable discussion on the use of mesh in the pelvis.

The symposium aims to provide a comprehensive learning environment and cover topics such as the causes, symptoms, and diagnosis of rectal prolapse, non-surgical and surgical treatment options, managing complex cases and complications, rectal prolapse in the elderly, strategies for recurrent rectal prolapse, and the impact of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. Additionally, the workshop will introduce participants to robot-assisted ventral mesh rectopexy and review the latest available clinical literature.

“We are excited to partner with Cook Biotech to bring this valuable educational opportunity to healthcare professionals at the ASCRS Annual Scientific Meeting,” said Dr. Mark Soliman, co-founder and CEO of Surgery Unified, maker of the SurgeOn app.  “This workshop is designed to enhance knowledge and understanding of the latest advances in rectal prolapse management, ultimately benefiting patient care.”

As part of the ongoing collaboration, SurgeOn and Cook Biotech will provide additional in-depth training on rectal prolapse management through a series of 8 webinars hosted on the SurgeOn social media platform throughout the remainder of 2024.

Registration for the symposium is complimentary but required. This in-person workshop is a sold-out event but will be live-streamed through the SurgeOn app. To download the app and register, learn more here: https://surgeonapp.com/signin
